    On-campus accommodation fees

    The annual fees for University of Roehampton accommodation can be found on the individual halls of residence pages or you can view the full list of accommodation fees (PDF).  

    What is included 

    The fees shown for on-campus accommodation include: 

    • water, electricity and heating
    • internet connection and usage costs
    • contents insurance (provided by Endsleigh)
    • safety testing of your personal electrical goods.

    Insurance 

    As a student living in halls at University of Roehampton, your contents are automatically insured through our partnership student insurance company, Endsleigh. For the exact level of cover provided, please see the Insurance Certificate on our contracts page.  

    Students living in halls sometimes wish to insure valued possessions such as a laptop or mobile phone away from their room wherever they take them. In addition, Endsleigh can also insure you if you are living in off-campus accommodation. Individual or group policies are available. See more information on Endsleigh student insurance policies.

This is a guideline to help you budget and it is important with private rented sector accommodation that you consider what is included in the household costs before proceeding.  

    Budgeting

    How much you spend on living expenses will, to a large extent, depend on the kind of lifestyle you choose and where you live. You will need to budget for food and drink along with items such as books, travel, phone, entertainment, clothes, laundry fees and other household expenses.

    Television licence

    In on-campus accommodation you will need to purchase an individual television licence for your room before you can watch TV. However, with off campus, you can purchase a licence for each household so share the cost. TV licensing do run checks on student accommodation. For further information on obtaining a licence visit the TV Licensing website.
