Affordable Accommodation in London
At the University of Roehampton, we know how important home is when studying. That is why we have a range of accommodation available to meet the different needs of our students. Whether you want more modern ensuite accommodation in Elm Grove or Chadwick or our more basic accommodation in Bede – a great introduction to student life at an affordable price. You will find all our accommodation provides an affordable home for London city living.
Accommodation Guarantee
Ensuring we have accommodation for all new students is important to us. Therefore, we offer an accommodation guarantee for all new undergraduate and foundation students who apply with us for the 2024/25 academic year on or before 1 March 2024. Find out more about our accommodation guarantee.
Returning students
We don’t only offer housing for new students. We also provide flats and rooms for returning or continuing students, so you can remain on campus for the whole of your degree with us.
We can also accommodate you living with friends, just let us know on the application process.
Rooms are allocated on a first come, first serve basis. Rooms are limited so we recommend booking early.
On-campus safety and security
Keeping you safe with 24/7 security across our campus. All the rooms are private, with individual locks because we want you to always feel safe.
We also have on-site support with campus wardens and flat reps.
All our accommodation is signed up to The Student Accommodation Code.

Life on campus
On-campus life means enjoying everything we have to offer around the University, this includes the gym, 54 acres of our parkland campus and landscaped gardens, a shop, bar, catering, esports facilities and even our resident chickens!
We have rooms for everyone from single rooms, large rooms and the choice of ensuites in different sized flats. Whatever you prefer, we've got you covered – whether that's a request for 'quiet' flats, single-sex flats and even flats dedicated to postgraduate students, just let us know.
Quick travel to the capital
Be in central London in 30 minutes or hop on one of our free student buses to Barnes Station and Wimbledon. We also have bicycle storage on campus and ebikes to hire.
