• Diversity and Equal Opportunities

The University of Roehampton is committed to promoting diversity and equality of opportunity and aims to create a culture and environment in which students and staff are treated fairly irrespective of race, religion or belief, ethnic or national origin, marital/civil partnership status, sex, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, disability, age or parental, pregnancy or maternity status.

As part of this commitment, the University is undertaking a periodic review of all policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with the relevant legislation, particularly the provisions of the Equality Act 2010.

The D&EO Policy was fully revised and republished in 2011 and will be regularly monitored and reviewed by the D&EO Committee.

The University has prepared an Equality Report to demonstrate how it is meeting the Public Sector Equality Duty.  The Report will be updated as appropriate and at least on an annual basis. The University has also introduced Equality Objectives to ensure compliance with its duty.
