We have fully equipped teaching facilities, including social, cognitive and computing laboratories. Staff research covers a range of topics from studies using EEG and fMRI to applied clinical work as some members of staff are practising therapists.
The Psychology Department is based at Roehampton's Whitelands College. Originally
designed for the 2nd Earl of Bessborough, Parkstead House at Whitelands College is a Grade I listed building and retains many of its original Georgian features. The Chambers Suite of
five light and airy rooms with decorative ceilings and fireplaces are used for
theatre-style classes and workshops. Three of these beautiful rooms overlook
Richmond Park. Modern lecture
theatres with state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment include the William
Morris lecture theatre, which features the William Morris reredos, and the Gilbert Scott Lecture Theatre. The
College is also home to the famous Burne Jones stained-glass windows.
