    Access to Learning Fund News

    ALF 2013-14 is CLOSED. We are not accepting any more applications.


    What is Access to Learning Fund?

    ALF is paid by the Government to University to help UK students to complete their programme. The fund is discretionary and the award is in the form of a grant, so you won’t have to pay it back.

    How to Apply?

    To apply complete the ALF Application Form 2013-14 and return it to the Student Funding Office. You might find it helpfull reading the ALF Application Guidance Notes before completing your application.

    ALF Emergency Loan

    The loan can be offered to UK students if  they find themselves in a financial hardship at any time during the academic year. Speak to your Student Welfare Officer and they will be able to advise you. If you need further help on your personal finance and budgeting meet our Money Doctor.

    Important to remember:

    You need to pay back your Emergency Loan by the agreed date. Failure to do so might affect you accessing your exam results or  attending your graduation. If you have any problems paying this loan back please tell us:
