The University is located in south-west London, close to Barnes, Putney and Richmond Park.
Travelling to the Main Site (Digby Stuart, Froebel and Southlands Colleges)
Barnes Station is about 15 minutes' walk from the Roehampton Lane Campus or a short bus ride on bus No. 72 or 265 (you are advised to use the underpass from platform 4 to access the bus stop). Trains from Barnes go to Clapham Junction and Waterloo in central London and Staines and Windsor to the south west.
From Hammersmith Tube Station:
District/Piccadilly/ Hammersmith & City Lines — take the 72 bus from stop K in the Lower Bus Station next to the shopping centre (see the map of Hammersmith Bus Station on the TFL website). Alight at Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton Lane.
From Putney Bridge Tube Station:
District Line — take the 265 bus outside the station. Alight at the University, opposite Queen Mary's Hospital.
The University is also well served by local buses:
*These buses stop directly outside the University; the other routes serve either Roehampton Village or Upper Richmond Road (Rosslyn Park RFC), each a short walk from the North Campus on Roehampton Lane.
Travelling to the Whitelands Site
Follow the directions to the Roehampton Lane Campus (above) but take the bus about 5 minutes past the campus and alight at the stop just before the Shell Garage. The campus is just a few minutes' walk from the bus stop. Cross Roehampton Lane and turn back heading towards the campus. Turn left onto Danebury Avenue, take the first left onto Holybourne Avenue and Whitelands is on the right after Laverstoke Gardens.
The 170 bus from opposite Clapham Junction Station runs to Danebury Avenue. Alight here, take the first left onto Holybourne Avenue and Whitelands is on the right after Laverstoke Gardens. Also 493 as above.
Please note there is extremely limited parking on campus and in nearby streets. The University is easily accessible by public transport.
Travelling to the Main Site (Digby Stuart, Froebel and Southlands Colleges)
The Roehampton Lane Campus is situated on the A306 Roehampton Lane between the A3 and the A205 South Circular (Upper Richmond Road) and approximately three quarters of a mile from each.
You can approach Roehampton via the A3 (Guildford/ Portsmouth road) or from any major route into London, connect with the A205 South Circular road, or the A406 North Circular road (heading west) which connects with the South Circular at Kew.
From the A3
Turn into the A306 Roehampton Lane. The Roehampton Lane Campus is approximately 0.8 mile on the left.
From the A205 South Circular heading west
Turn left into the A306 Roehampton Lane. The Roehampton Lane Campus is approximately 0.75 mile on the right.
From the A205 South Circular heading east
There is no right turn into Roehampton Lane. At this junction, follow the sign for Putney Bridge and Roehampton and then immediately follow the signs for Dorking (A24), Guildford/Portsmouth (A3) and Roehampton. This takes you in a loop to approach the A306 Roehampton Lane heading west. Turn left onto the A306 and the Roehampton Lane Campus is approximately 0.75 mile on the right.
Travelling to the Whitelands Site
From the A205 South Circular
Follow the directions to the Roehampton Lane campus (above) but continue past the campus for about 1 mile and then turn right at the major crossroads with traffic lights onto Danebury Avenue. Take the first left onto Holybourne Avenue and Whitelands is on the right after Laverstoke Gardens.
From the A3
Turn into the A306 Roehampton Lane. Approximately 0.5 miles on the left turn into Danebury Avenue. Take the first left onto Holybourne Avenue and Whitelands is on the right after Laverstoke Gardens.
