SEN entry requirements and application process

The Erasmus Mundus SEN Programme will not be running during the academic year 2010-11.

Applications are care not currently being received for this programme.  For those interested in applying for the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship please bookmark this page and return in summer 2010 for details about entry in September 2011, subject to European Commission funding.

Applications will be invited from individuals who have:

  • a good honours degree from an approved university or college in a related field of education
  • and English language qualifications (if English is not their first language).

The SEN programme is intended for graduates, those in education, teachers, and lecturers from a wide range of educational contexts at all educational levels both within Europe and internationally.

For advice on recognition of alternative qualifications, please contact the International Admissions Officer at Roehampton University (email: international@roehampton.ac.uk).

English language qualifications

All students must have attained the minimum English language qualification by the closing date. All students whose first language is not English, need to acquire a minimum English language qualification of IELTS Level 6.5 in all sections or a TOEFL score of 575 (232 computer based). Equivalent alternatives will be considered and are listed  here.

Selection process

The consortium will convene a Programme Panel meeting in January of each year when students are being selected (so next panel scheduled for January 2011) where the third-country student and scholar selection will be undertaken with interviews (possibly by telephone) being included as necessary. During the scholar and student selection process, due weight will be given to: the stated rationale for undertaking this international programme, their ability to communicate clearly, the nature and relevance of prior experience and the manner in which international cooperation and understanding will fostered after completion.

Application forms

Application forms will be made available once the selection process for entry in 2011 has been confirmed.
