Roehampton University (London, UK)

This state-funded university is one of the oldest higher education institutions in England, dating back to 1841. It has an international reputation for high-quality training in education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Charles University (Prague, Czech Republic)

Founded in 1346, this is the oldest university in central Europe. Its Faculty of Education was opened in 1946. Its objective is the training of teachers for all types and grades of school and educational institution, and also the training of specialists in the field of pedagogy, pedagogical and school psychology and the methodology of teaching. The Faculty cooperates with international institutions in the exchange of scientific/scholarly expertise and practical experience, joint research projects, and meetings between university teachers and students.

Fontys University of Professional Education (Tilburg, The Netherlands)

This is one of the largest state-recognised and state-funded educational institutions in the Netherlands, providing about 200 different programmes and education programmes. Fontys offers a wide range of market-orientated services in the Netherlands and internationally. It has a long and strong tradition in the training of teachers in the field of Special Education Needs with 135 full-time equivalent lecturers, trainers and researchers.
