Studying without assessment

Why choose to be a non-assessed student?

If you are a mature student nervous about returning to study and want a taste of higher education, or you have a passion for a subject but do not want to write essays or attend exams, you can opt to be an auditing student.

Are there any restrictions for non-assessed students?

Auditing students cannot be assessed or gain a qualification for their chosen study programme. They are not allowed to attend tutorials or exams; neither do they submit essays, projects or reports.

What is available to non-assessed students?

An auditing student can attend lectures, and can have full access to the library, computing services and other programme specific facilities. They also have access to lectures, other students and conveners.
