Semester- and year-long programmes

Studying abroad is the best way to develop an appreciation for other countries and cultures while preparing you for the challenges and opportunities of our global society. At Roehampton we believe your Study Abroad experience in the UK will help you achieve both your personal and professional goals as employers and graduate schools are increasingly looking for applicants who have experience abroad.

Module selection

To view modules offered by Roehampton University, please go to the undergraduate programme pages. Within each programme you will find module listings each with a module code.

Modules can be selected up to a maximum of 120 credits per academic year or 60 credits per semester. 10 UK credits are considered to be equivalent to 3 US credits/5 ECTS

Guide to module codes

  • The first three letters of the code refer to the programme, eg ELL = English Language and Linguistics.
  • The fourth letter refers to the year of study: C = first year; N = second year; X = third year.
  • Modules with a '10' prefix = 10 UK credits/3 US credits/5 ECTS.
  • Modules with a '20' prefix = 20 UK credits/6 US credits/10 ECTS.
  • Module with an 'A' suffix are only offered during the autumn semester.
  • Module with an 'S' suffix are only offered during the spring semester.
  • Module with a 'Y' suffix are year-long modules and are only available to students who are attending for the academic year.

Terms and conditions

Study Abroad at Roehampton is available for full-time study only, which would normally be considered to equal 60 credits (30 ECTS) per semester or 120 credits (60 ECTS) per academic year. Your programme of study is subject to approval by the Programme Conveners for your selected modules.

Once accepted, all applicants will be required to complete registration procedures on arrival at the University. The application form is not a registration form and is not a letter of acceptance. Students must provide an official copy of their most current university transcript with their application.
