If you would prefer to visit us in your own time or cannot make one of our Open Days, why not take advantage of our self-guided tour? You can get a real feel for Roehampton University as you explore our beautiful campus at your own pace.
Self-guided tours last approximately 45 minutes and are available anytime between 10am and 4pm. If you wish to take a self-guided tour, please complete our booking form.
Use our maps and directions pages to get to the University main entrance on Roehampton Lane and ask Security to direct you to the Welcome Centre, where you can collect your self-guided tour pack. The Student Enquiries team there will be pleased to greet you and answer any questions you may have. You will find Student Enquiries on our Campus Maps. Meanwhile, you might like to download an electronic version of our Self Guided Tour (PDF).
Guided tours
There is an extra opportunity to go on a guided campus tour on various dates throughout the year.
Self-Guided Tour Frequently Asked Questions
Is there parking on campus?
Yes. If you are travelling by car, you will need a permit to be able to park on campus. You can get this from the Security Gatehouse at the University main entrance. Please make sure you do this when you first arrive to save you walking back to Security once you are at the Welcome Centre.
Can I speak to academic staff on my visit?
Yes. You can contact the department direct to arrange an appointment, preferably to coincide with the date of your tour. Alternatively, our switchboard - on 020 8392 3000 - can put you through to the right department.
My course is based at Whitelands College. Where should I start my tour?
Self-guided tours begin at the Welcome Centre. If the course you are interested in is based at Whitelands, we suggest you still start at the main Roehampton Lane campus to make the most of your experience. The tour continues on to Whitelands College
Can I take a self-guided tour at the weekend?
Yes. Although the Welcome Centre is closed at weekends you can still visit the campus. Please email us with your postal address and the course you are interested in at least 10 days in advance of your desired date so we can ensure a self-guided tour pack reaches you in time. Self-guided tour packs can also be emailed if your tour is booked at short notice.
Is there somewhere to grab a coffee during my visit?
Yes. You will come across several places to eat or drink on your tour but you might like to see what's available beforehand.
What if I have more questions after my self-guided tour?
The Welcome Centre is open until 5pm. Do feel free to drop in again should you need any more information or if any of your questions are still unanswered and we will do our best to assist you.
