The Computing pathway allows students to study a wide range of topics and is ideal for those who have a strong interest in the design and development of information systems. Most students pursuing this pathway will already have had some exposure to computing, either at school or as a hobby. The degree equips students for a career as an IT professional. When combined with several basic Business units, students are able to develop a solid foundation of computing expertise and understand its critical importance to successful business operation.
Three distinct pathways are designed to give you the knowledge and skills essential for success in your preferred career.
Single Honours:

You can combine Computing with the following programmes: Business Management, Criminology, Education, Film, Journalism and News Media, Media and Culture, Modern Languages, Sociology, Spanish, Sports Science, and Photography.
The MSc Information Systems programmes have been developed to equip individuals with flexible, transferable skills, with the aim of producing managers and leaders who have a practical and theoretical knowledge of business information systems and technology within a strategic and operational context. Our Business Management team shares delivery of these programmes.
Our programmes provide a solid foundation for our students to pursue their future career aspirations.

Students undertake a variety of projects as part of the undergraduate Computing programme. These projects require the analysis and design of a system in order to meet specific requirements (typically business). The samples below are taken from three modules that are taught as part of the degree.
