David Sharkey stepped down from his role as Chief Operating Officer at the University of Surrey in 2019, after 12 years at the university, having joined as Finance Director. He previously worked for Marks and Spencer in a variety of senior finance roles over a 20-year period with the company, having started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) in London where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
David is also currently a trustee of the Lyric Theatre in Hammersmith.
