Crucible

Placements

Placements are a great way for students to enhance their employability and gain voluntary or work experience while they are still at university. In the degree programmes taught in conjunction with Crucible, students are awarded credits for completing voluntary service placements.

Arranging a placement

If you need to arrange a placement, contact the tutor of the module towards which the placement counts. Some tutors will refer you to the Crucible Placements Officer whereas some will arrange the placement for you.

Dr Corinna Heipcke is the Crucible Placements Officer (see contact details below) and can help you arrange a placement and can advise you about placements in general (for example, if you are thinking about doing an assessed volunteer placement in a year's time and would like an overview on what is on offer).

For more detailed information, see the Arranging a placement FAQ.
