CIPFA CPD

Good News for CIPFA Members!

Roehampton University is now a CPD Accredited Employer with CIPFA (The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy) accredited at Level 2  - CIPFA’s best practice level.

This means that CIPFA members would not have to complete CIPFA paperwork as the staff development scheme operated by Roehampton University which has been approved by Investors in People would be acceptable in its place.

The accreditation also means that CIPFA members are not required to gather and keep a portfolio of supporting evidence if the employer scheme does not require it. A line manager's verification is sufficient to confirm that activities were undertaken. However, it would be useful to keep a record for your own future reference.

CIPFA members can nominate their own CPD year and may wish to make this coincide with their appraisal year at work for ease.

Members will need to, individually, submit a Statement of Declaration to CIPFA at the end of each CPD year confirming that they have met the requirements of the scheme over the previous 12 months.

CIPFA Members can now simply stop completing the CIPFA CPD forms and declare at the end of each CPD year. When members are randomly selected and asked to share evidence, CIPFA will ask to see the completed employer scheme forms that have been approved by Investors in People.

For further information please see the information sheets below explaining what the accreditation means for CIPFA members. Visit the CIPFA website for further guidance on completing your CPD forms.
