If you have ever wondered what it would be like to work in a different role, the Job Shadowing Scheme is for you!

The Job Shadowing Scheme is designed so that members of staff have the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the knowledge and skills that are required for other roles within the University. Participants are invited to spend time working alongside a member of staff within a different School/Department; you can nominate a particular person or identify an area within which you would like to be based.

This year the scheme is also focussing on career development and we would encourage staff to contact us if they want to shadow someone at the next level up from their role.

Once a shadowee has been linked to a shadower they can arrange whether they spend a couple of hours together or whether they want to arrange a number of short sessions together.

The scheme is operated on an ongoing basis and staff can apply to take part at any time throughout the year.
