Mentoring at Roehampton

Roehampton has always had a strong commitment to introducing new members of staff to the University and this can be seen in its well established induction process that gives new members of staff the opportunity to have induction at both local [School/Department] level, and also at a university-wide level.

The University's mentoring scheme is an essential part of this induction process and designed to help with the orientation of staff who are new to the organisation.

In 2002/3, the Staff Training and Development Committee requested a review of the current scheme in operation.

The recommendations from this report were implemented and guidance for mentors, mentees and line managers is available from HR.
