The Library and the resources, services and facilities it has to offer are available to support the learning, teaching and research of our students at the University. With a wide range and variety of resources, both physical and online, we aim to help our students develop their full potential. The Library has around 350,000 print book, artefacts and audio visual materials and more than 300,000 eBooks. We hold subscriptions to nearly 200 print only journals and more than 32,500 electronic journals.
The Library offers a range of academic, Library and study skills workshops.
This year we have extended our opening hours so that for the first time the Library will be open till midnight during term time. We will continue to open 24 hours a day during peak times in the academic year. There is access to computer suites 24 hours a day throughout the year.
The Library building has more than 260 open access PCs and around 400 study spaces. We have 13 bookable study rooms for individuals and small groups. The Library team provide expert advice and support.
