Calligraphy Correspondence
From 2009 onwards the Calligraphy Correspondence Course will no longer be offered by Roehampton University. The programme has been taken over by the Society of Scribes and Illuminators. Since its inception in 1987 the course has helped many calligraphers worldwide learn within a format which is both rigorous and flexible. The course now offered by SSI operates with the same tutors, fees, content and format as the previous Roehampton course. The SSI, founded in 1921, is known internationally for its high standards of calligraphy and is delighted to continue this programme. Many of the tutors are themselves Fellows or experienced members of the SSI. The course remains invaluable for those beginning to study calligraphy seriously as well as for those wishing to realise their full calligraphic potential.
