Key areas of study

This course will provide you with a detailed understanding of the science of sports and exercise. We offer a diverse range modules for you to study, allowing you to focus on areas that interest you.

Recent examples of core modules have included Physiological Assessment, Research Methods, Professional Practice, the Physiology of Sport and Exercise Performance and Nutritional Aspects of Sport & Exercise Performance. Optional modules we offer might include Biomechanical Assessmen, Musculo-Skeletal Sport Injuries, Psychological Assessment or Approaches to Psychological Support.

Internships and placements

Sports Science and Sport Roehampton staff are constantly seeking to develop good working relations with National and local sporting organisations. Consequently, we are often able to offer our MSc students invaluable opportunities to gain experience of providing high level scientific support.

Internships are training packages developed in association with sporting organisations to specifically provide students with the opportunity to develop professional-level applied skills within real, high-level sporting environments. Read more
