The Centre for International Research on Creativity and Learning in Education (CIRCLE) is a London-based international Research Centre with 3 professors, 10 academic staff members, 3 Visiting Professors, and over 20 current postgraduate research students. CIRCLE is directed by Professor Adam Ockelford.
CIRCLE's group identity amongst its interdisciplinary researchers is achieved, in part, by programming cross-disciplinary alongside specialist meetings within its seminar programme. This comprises fortnightly meetings throughout the academic year, including seminars by internal postgraduate students and staff, distinguished visiting speakers, research student panel sessions, and an annual whole day postgraduate conference.
CIRCLE's inter-School, national and international collaborations in research and teaching, include new Masters’ degree programmes designed to attract future research students based on cross-arts themes such as identity, aesthetic learning and creativity. Visiting scholars from countries including Brazil, Canada, Japan, and Singapore) have been supported by grants from various bodies and research projects involve over 15 external research collaborators from the UK and overseas.
CIRCLE welcomes enquiries from potential visiting scholars and prospective PhD and MPhil students.
