About

Jeremy Bubb has been an independent Filmmaker and Producer for almost twenty years. His current research explores a film language for new media films, and in particular, devising strategies for multi-image screen stories.He started making films with Chapter Filmworks, Cardiff, where he directed “It Ain’t Necessarily So” a documentary staring Don Pennebaker and Paul Robeson Jnr., his second film of note was “The Joke Works” starring Sharon Morgan, and later he worked on “The Case for Coal” (The Miner’s Tapes) which received a prestigious Grierson Award in 1986. Jeremy went on to Produce ‘Century City’, the first Filmworks animation film for S4C Television, as well as working on a series of short TV documentaries.

After leaving Cardiff he went on to study at the Northern School of Film and Television in Yorkshire, and then the famous Lodz Film School in Poland. Since then he has made films in Ireland, Denmark, Poland and the UK, he has written and directed over twenty shorts, documentaries, and commercials and his films have been screened at international film festivals and television networks in UK and Europe. He continues to make films and commercials with Rivernook Films and has a growing international reputation as an academic researching and publishing in the area of screen narrative for new digital technologies.
