About

I research and teach in the areas of Contemporary Performance, Experimental Theatre, American Theatre History, Philosophy and Performance, Ethics and Performance, Identity and Performance, Theatre and Religion, Jewish Performance, Queer Performance, Performance and HipHop.

I am an Assistant Editor for PAJ: A Journal of Arts and Performance as well as Contributing Editor of Western European Stages. I am Vice President in charge of Conference 2011 for the Association for Theatre in Higher Education, a 1,600+ member organisation. I was previously the Member-at-Large for Finance on the Governing Council as well as past Focus Group Representative for the Association of Theatre in Higher Education's Performance Studies Focus Group.

My publications have been seen in Audience Participation: Essays on Inclusion in Performance, Theatre Journal, TDR,Slavic and East European Performance, Theatre Survey, Western European Stages, and PAJ: A Journal of Art and Performance, as well as other journals, encyclopedias, and publications.

Teaching Interests

I hold a Roehampton Teaching Fellowship, exploring the use of electronic ink technologies in the classroom. As well, I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and hold a PGCHE as well as a Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education from the Sheridan Center at Brown University. I teach widely across both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
