Teaching

Lis Austin is a Lecturer in Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies. She has taught at Roehampton since 2005. Lis teaches and convenes a range of modules across the undergraduate programme. Her main focus is on twentieth and twenty first century art and performance. She regularly convenes and teaches classes such as Postmodern Practices of Performance; Modernism, Performance and the Avant-Garde; and many others across the first, second and third years. Her teaching focuses on theory and practice, lecture, seminar and workshop.

Lis has been the Chair of the board of trustees for Dante or Die Theatre Company for the past two years.

Research Projects Undertaken

Lis is currently finishing her PhD. She is researching particular twentieth century pedagogical practices and their relationship with the discipline of Performance Studies.

Lis studied Drama and Theatre Studies at undergraduate level. And Performance Studies at postgraduate level.
