About

Since graduating from the MA in Creative Writing at UEA, 
Louise Tondeur has published two novels and has just 
finished a third. She has a PhD in English Literature (Reading) 
and has worked at Roehampton since 2005. She was made a 
Roehampton Teaching Fellow in 2007. 

Louise teaches across the Creative Writing programme at BA 
and MA level, specialising in fiction. She is currently on 
maternity leave.

Research Interests

Her research interests include writing the novel and short fiction, 
community theatre, women's history, queer and feminist theory, 
and cultural interpretations of the body. Louise contributed to 
the first collection of essays on body hair, The Last Taboo: 
Women and Body Hair
, Karin Lesnick-Oberstein ed (2007).

Louise was, until recently, external examiner on the Bath Spa MA in Creative Writing.
