I am the director of ReWrite: The Centre for Creative and Professional Writing.
My research interests include Contemporary Poetry and Poetics; Conceptual Writing and Text-Based Art; Hybrid Creative-Critical Writing; Canadian Literature; Comparative Religion and Literature; Psychoanalysis and Literature.

I was awarded an AHRC Research Fellowship in 2012-2013 to complete a critical monograph on John Cage.
I have also co-edited two special issues of Open Letter: A Canadian Journal of Writing and Theory, and I am currently editing an issue of The Journal of Writing and Creative Practice.
Along with this editing work, I have organized two conferences here at Roehampton: “Shakespeare and the Contemporary Sonnet” (Co-organized with Dr. Jane Kingsley-Smith, 2012) and “Modular Form” (Scheduled for March 14, 2014).
