About

I have been an English lecturer at Roehampton for over 20 years. My teaching interests are mainly in Nineteenth-century American literature, Twentieth-century literature of the American South, and the short story.

I am co-ordinator of the EML School recruitment team and am keen to encourage widening access to higher education.

Former Guardian editor Alan Rusbridger honoured at graduation

The former editor-in-chief of The Guardian, Alan Rusbridger, has been made an honorary Doctor of Letters by the University of Roehampton, at its annual Winter graduation ceremony. The award is in recognition of his significant contribution to the journalism industry.
