About

I have been an English lecturer at Roehampton for over 20 years. My teaching interests are mainly in Nineteenth-century American literature, Twentieth-century literature of the American South, and the short story.

I am co-ordinator of the EML School recruitment team and am keen to encourage widening access to higher education.

The High Court in London has overturned a controversial Government ban on books being sent to prisoners from their friends and families. A judge described the decision by the Ministry of Justice as ‘unlawful’.
