I have been an English lecturer at Roehampton for over 20 years. My teaching interests are mainly in Nineteenth-century American literature, Twentieth-century literature of the American South, and the short story.

I am co-ordinator of the EML School recruitment team and am keen to encourage widening access to higher education.

Mark National Poetry Day by entering Ruskin Prize competition

Poets across London are being encouraged to mark National Poetry Day on Thursday 2 October by starting work on a new poem to enter for the inaugural Ruskin Prize which has been launched by the University of Roehampton’s Poetry Centre.
