Study skills support

Studying in higher education is different from school and college, whether you are coming direct from school or after a long gap. To do well you will need to develop specific skills.

Our team of Academic Achievement Advisers are committed to helping students realise their academic potential and become independent learners. Whatever stage you are at in your studies – foundation, undergraduate or postgraduate – we are here to help. We offer workshops on different academic skills throughout the year, as well as one-to-one appointments and online resources via our Learning Skills Hub.

Library and research support

Our world-class Library, one of the best university libraries in London, has a huge range of resources. These include many thousands of books, journals and other learning resources, as well as excellent IT facilities.

To help you get the most out of these resources, we have a Learning and Teaching Librarian, who will offer you advice on research skills, how to find the resources related to your subject of study and even help you learn how to properly reference your essays.
