Our Pre-Sessional: International Masters Preparation course will give you the English language and academic skills that are required for successful postgraduate study with us.

If you already have an undergraduate degree and meet the academic requirements for a postgraduate degree but want to enhance your academic skills and English language, our Pre-Sessional: International Masters Preparation will help give you the confidence you need to study at Level 7 in the UK.

You’ll be taught by dedicated specialist and international/English language tutors, who are passionate about what they teach in high-spec facilities. You’ll also have access to our world-class library. 

To apply for this course, you’ll need: 

  • An undergraduate degree (third class, pass or ordinary from a UK university or international equivalent) 
  • IELTS 5.5 or accepted international equivalents

How you'll be taught

Our Pre-Sessional: International Masters Preparation course will start in July and run for nine weeks, finishing in September. 

The course is full-time, with 9 - 12 hours of learning (lectures, seminars and workshops) each week on campus and will cover the following: 

  • Introduction to Research (3 hours per week) 
  • Academic English for Masters Study (3 hours per week) 
  • London as a Global City: History, Culture & Context (3 hours per week)

You will have regular contact with your academic guidance tutor to help you develop as well as face-to-face and online careers and study support.
