In this dynamic and challenging degree, you will study the
rapidly-changing retail sector, from high streets to online shopping. You will
develop an analytical understanding of business operations and managing
organisations, and build your team-working and leadership skills through group

On successful completion of your degree, you will gain an
exemption from one of the three CIM modules needed for the Diploma in
Professional Marketing, which means you will only need to complete two further
modules to gain the full qualification (please note that this exemption is only
valid for three years from the date of graduating).

In your first year you will gain a broad understanding of business covering a range of areas including marketing, accounting, how technology is used in the creative industries, the principles of economics and how all these functions and more work together.
Your second year will develop your knowledge of marketing, retail purchasing and supply chain management. You will gain an understanding of retail marketing strategies and have the opportunity to demonstrate the application of theory by investigating specific logistical problems. There are also opportunities to study international business and website design amongst others.
In your final year you will look at consumer behaviour, corporate strategy, retail issues, theory and practice. There are a range of marketing modules including Digital Marketing and International Marketing on offer as well as ethics and a business project module. You have the option to do a professional practice placement in which you build on your skills and knowledge and is valuable in making contacts and gaining real life experience.
