Catherine of Siena College
Online courses exploring gender, justice, religion, and theology
Welcome to Catherine of Siena College, where we offer a range of online courses relating to theology, gender and social justice. Our aim is to provide those working for change in their churches, communities and societies with educational insights and personal skills that will enable them to develop an informed collaborative approach to addressing complex social, theological and ethical issues. Those who successfully complete our courses receive a certificate in Continuing Professional Development from the University of Roehampton.
With its roots in the Roman Catholic tradition, Catherine of Siena College is fully ecumenical and works in close partnership with The Susanna Wesley Foundation (Methodist) and USPG (Anglican). We also encourage inter-religious dialogue, and several of our courses are designed with this aim in mind.
We offer two streams of courses– 6 week courses and 10 week courses which are taught exclusively online. We also run study days and other events at Roehampton University's beautiful campus in London. Our online courses allow you to work through materials at your own pace and at times convenient for you. You can enrol for one course at a time or you can do several courses at the same time if they are running simultaneously. We use a participatory educational model that recognises course tutors and students as co-learners who come from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures, so that all have something valuable to contribute to the learning process.
For the dates of upcoming courses please contact us at catherineofsiena@roehampton.ac.uk or see below.
