Easy Rider is Eva Recacha's new work, to be premiered at The Place in Spring Loaded 2014. The piece reflects upon the ideas of faith, delusion and the human desire to affiliate to superstitious beliefs and practices in the pursuit of happiness, all mixed in a concoction of religion, culture and self-help manuals.

Recacha will present an extract of this unfinished work and the company will show the work produced whilst in residence at O Espaço Do Tempo (Portugal) in February. There will also be a sharing of the work done by Roehampton MA students with the company, exploring some of the creative processes employed and developed by the choreographer and her team.

Eva Recacha is a London based choreographer. Her choreographic practice is focused on exploring ways of relating movement and text, creating a blend of poetic, humorous, and nonsensical juxtapositions through the interplay of both mediums. The show is supported by ACE through National Lottery, O Espaço Do Tempo and is commissioned by The Place.
