Dr Sara Houston, from Roehampton University was invited to speak at the Wellcome Collection Event, Can You Kick It? The event took place at the Medicine Now Gallery on Thursday 29th November, 2012.
Dr Houston spoke about dance for people with Parkinson’s alongside a curator and historian talking about dance in 19th century asylums and about Jane Avril, Toulouse Lautrec’s Can Can dancer muse.
The evening also included a demonstration from a dancer from the Moulin Rouge!

Department of Dance celebrates 10th anniversary of MFA Performances
It is the tenth anniversary of thesis performances for the MFA Choreography programme and this year the students donated all performance proceeds to various charitable causes.
