Visiting the University Library

Members of the community are welcome to use the Library. You can visit the Library on a day pass up to three times in an academic year. This gives you access to the Library for reference study purposes only. Visitors must be 18+ (underage children must be accompanied and supervised by a registered Roehampton student/staff member) to come into the library and are required to show their photo ID to Library staff at the Welcome Desk.

After 9pm access to the Library is restricted to registered students and staff.

24 hour Library opening

The Library will be open 24 hours around the clock from Monday 23 April (starting 8am) to Sunday 20 May (closing 9pm).

During this period, the Library is reserved for:

  • Roehampton students/staff
  • External and Alumni Members
  • SCONUL Bands A, B, C

This is one of our busiest times of the year. The pressure on study space and resources means we must prioritise our Roehampton students' needs during this time.

After the 24 hour period, from Monday 21 May, we're back to normal. We'll be welcoming back:

  • Visitors
  • Community Members
  • SCONUL Band R Members

If you are interested in using the library on a more regular basis, we offer membership through four key schemes:
