Media, Culture and Language

Our career-focused degrees are designed to give you the best start in the creative and media industries. You will meet inspiring academics and leading professional experts that will enable you to develop the skills for a successful career in the creative industries.
You will have the opportunity to test your creativity and showcase your work in a variety of settings. Roehampton students have screened their films at Hammersmith's Riverside Studios and the BFI; exhibited their photography in Brick Lane and pitched their magazine ideas to prominent publishing companies.
We attract individuals who are creative, passionate, open to different cultures and interested in emerging trends in the media and the world. We run an established work placement module with links to leading media and cultural organisations in the public and private sector.
Media, Culture and Language courses are based in our brand new Sir David Bell Media Centre. Its state-of-the-art facilities include film studios and editing suites, newsrooms, resources for photography and digital media and a cinema.
Our MA Journalism degree programme has recently gained PPA accreditation, recognising our commitment to training our graduates to the highest standard.
