Welcome to the School of Life and Health Sciences
On behalf of all your lecturers and teaching staff I would like to warmly welcome you to your academic home at Roehampton, the School of Life and Health Sciences.
Whether it’s a curiosity about the human body or an interest in other living organisms such as plants and animals, you are now part of a department where you will have the freedom and support to follow your passion.
As a Life and Health Sciences student you will be able to take advantage of our specialist laboratories and your lecturer’s contacts with industry to gain fieldwork and work placement opportunities.
Last year we saw a number of events take place including Science week and the Sport and Exercise Sciences Student Conference, where students presented their dissertation projects through oral and e-poster presentations.
There will be plenty of opportunities for you to get involved with the department, whether that’s through our thriving calendar of events, workshops and seminars or our student led societies.
I look forward to seeing you on campus soon and helping you settle in to your first year of studies.
Dr Caroline Ross
Dean of School of Life and Health Sciences
