EU Transition Scholarship

We are delighted to offer a scholarship to all EU students joining an undergraduate degree or postgraduate Master's course in September 2021. The scholarship means that EU students will automatically benefit from a tuition fee discount to bring their fee in line with tuition fees we are charging current UK students ("home fees").

In June 2020, the UK government announced that EU students would be subject to the same fee as international students. The University of Roehampton remains committed to increasing diversity by continuing to welcome students from the EU and other countries after Brexit.

The University recognises that since the announcement that EU students may have had insufficient time to prepare for the additional costs of studying in the UK. The University is therefore launching its EU Transition Scholarship to help EU students adjust to the changes as the UK leaves the European Union.

Our postgraduate course fees vary. You can find a list of our fees on our course pages.

The EU Transition Scholarship will remain valid for the duration of the course.

How much is the scholarship worth?

The scholarship is offered in the form of a tuition fee discount and brings the fees of EU nationals down to match the current home tuition fee.

Eligibility

You must be a national of an EU country.

How to apply

You will not need to submit a separate application for the scholarship. The tuition fee scholarship will be applied to all EU applicants for the relevant courses.

How many years does the EU Transition Scholarship cover?

The EU Transition Scholarship will remain valid for the duration of the course. For example, if an EU student joins a three-year degree programme in September 2021, the scholarship will be valid each year for three years.

I am an EU student joining in January 2021. Does this apply to me?

EU students joining in January 21 are already eligible for home fees.
