Arts and Play Therapies Summer School 2021
16th Annual Arts & Play Therapies Summer School (August 9th-13th 2021)
The Arts & Play Therapies (APT) Summer School provides an opportunity for participants to engage in an intensive and immersive experiential learning environment that will introduce them to key concepts and ideas in a discipline of their choice: Art Psychotherapy, Dance Movement Psychotherapy, Dramatherapy, Music Therapy, or Play Therapy.
Participants are invited to select from one of the five disciplines as a main experiential group from the workshop options below, and can book either the on campus option or the online course. Please note that for those booking on campus, the University takes no responsibility for any fees incurred or disruptions relating to COVID-19, including all forms of travel, accommodation, or quarantine costs.
A degree of active participation will be expected from all participants who should therefore be prepared for a degree of personal disclosure, sharing and exploration. Applicants should also note that the active, experiential nature of all the arts and play therapy workshops can be intense and emotionally demanding and are likely to involve a degree of personal disclosure, sharing and exploration.
Participants requesting to change groups.
Due to the design of the Arts & Play Therapies Summer Schools being developmental and experiential, course participants cannot switch from their allocated on campus or online groups either before the course starts or once the course has commenced. The only exception to this will be where a delegate who has signed up to the on campus group has to move online for a COVID-19 related reason. The request for change must be made via e-mail to the CPD & Short Courses Manager (please see email address below.) Movement from online groups to on campus groups is not permitted.
Places will be allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org / 0208 392 3795 for further details.
