cliniQ & the Department of Psychology at the University of Roehampton present:
"Gender here, gender there, gender everywhere"
A one day workshop for those in the helping professions (counsellors, psychotherapists, doctors, nurses, social workers etc.) who wish to explore how gender identity impacts on our own lives, our practice, and the lives of our clients or patients. If you have any anxieties or concerns about working with clients who are exploring their gender, this interactive workshop will be a space where you can gain confidence in approaching the topic through gentle, collaborative learning. The day aims to provide a supportive, exploratory environment where there is no such thing as 'a silly question' for individuals taking their first steps towards working with gender issues.
The course will be facilitated by Dr Igi Moon (Senior lecturer in Psychology, University of Roehampton), Mr Aedan Wolton (Health Advisor, cliniQ/56 Dean Street), and Ms Michelle Ross (BACP accred. counsellor, cliniQ). Although the facilitators are specialised in working with transgender/non-binary clients, this workshop explores how issues of gender identity impact us all.
Date: 2nd June 2018
The course takes place on a Saturday from 10.30 - 4.00.
Dr. Igi Moon, Mr. Aedan Wolton (CliniQ), Michelle Ross (CliniQ)
The class will involve a degree of experiential learning. Classes will be restricted to a maximum of 20.
