The day will start with an overview of subtitling training approaches in general and the evolution of cloud-based technology for subtitlers. A discussion will follow on the opportunities and potentials offered by cloud-based subtitling technology as opposed to traditional software programs.
During the second part of the course, you will be introduced to the main functions of OOONA Online Captions & Subtitles Toolkit and you will be guided through the process of captioning and subtitling, revision and file conversion along with many other toolkits integrated in the e-platform.
By the completion of a series of tasks, you will be able to create your own subtitling project, you will be able to use OOONA Online Captions & Subtitles Toolkit and you will have a general understanding of cloud-based subtitling technology, the future approach to subtitling practices.
A list of useful websites and other sources of information will be given to all the participants and some time will be left at the end for questions.
This course will introduce lecturers, students and professionals to the very first online toolkit for subtitlers.
