Academic Information

The University of Roehampton offers a wide variety of classes across all departments to students coming through Erasmus+. You can view and choose modules on our Study Abroad Module Catalogue. Module lists are published in mid-April for the following academic year.

Modules on offer can vary significantly from year to year, so it is essential that you use the current Study Abroad Catalogue to find your modules.

Students coming in the semester 1 (September to December) should choose modules that end in 'A'
Students coming in semester 2 (January to June) should choose modules that end in 'S'

You can choose modules up to a maximum of 60 credits (30 ECTS) per semester, or 120 credits (60 ECTS) per academic year. It is your responsibility to make sure your home university will accept credit gained from each class. If you need any syllabi or other module information, please contact us

Please note that London Studies modules have an additional cost.

Aside from the London Studies modules, all classes will be taken alongside full-degree University of Roehampton students to ensure you have plenty of opportunities to meet local students and fully integrate into campus life.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us!

We aim to house all students studying abroad at Roehampton through the Erasmus+ programme in University accommodation. However we cannot guarantee that this will be possible and due to the high volumes of applications for on campus accommodation, if we do offer you a room, it is unlikely to be on campus.

Rooms are single occupancy study bedrooms with shared kitchen facilities, Internet connection and optional private bathrooms. There are plenty of cafés and university canteens on campus if you are unsure of your culinary skills!

You must indicate on your online application that you wish to live in University accommodation. If you indicate this, the Roehampton Abroad team will apply for accommodation on your behalf. You will then receive further details from the accommodation office about applying through the accommodation office's online application system to secure your room. These details will be sent to you much nearer the time.

Please do not apply directly to the accommodation office. If you have any questions, please contact us!

The university aims to provide a supportive living and learning environment promoting academic and personal growth and a sense of community among students.

How to apply

We welcome applications from students at our partner institutions.

If you would like to study at the University of Roehampton as an Erasmus student, you will need confirmation from your home institution Erasmus Coordinator that you can apply to Roehampton. Please liaise directly with them for further information.

Once you have received confirmation that you can apply to us through the Erasmus+ programme, please complete our online application form.

A downloadable application guide is available here.

Please note that the modules you choose during the application process will be the modules we register you for and should be the same as the modules your home institution has approved and that appear on your learning agreement.

You do not need to submit a learning agreement during the application process. If you are accepted onto the programme, you will need to bring a copy of your learning agreement to Roehampton at the beginning of the programme. We will sign it then.

If you have any questions, please speak to your home institution Erasmus Coordinator.

Arrival and Orientation

Details of arrivals and orientation will be sent to you around a month before you arrive on campus. In the meantime, the information below provides you with a taster of what to expect.

Arrivals Day
We will have student ambassadors waiting at Heathrow Airport ready to bring you to campus on our designated arrivals day. Once you arrive you will meet the friendly Roehampton Abroad Team who will register you, give you your handbook and further details about your first few days at Roehampton. The accommodation team will then give you your keys and student ambassadors will be on hand to take you to your new home! Once you are all moved in you can join us for a pizza party on campus and meet your fellow study abroad students.

Orientation is designed especially for new Study Abroad and exchange students and will provide you with important information about the University and living in London. You will hear about student life, safety and wellbeing and academic life to prepare you for your time at Roehampton. You will also register as fully-fledged Roehampton students and will finalise your modules. Finally, the Photo Frenzy scavenger hunt will introduce you to London. Starting at Roehampton and working in groups you will make your way through the clues – solving them to find your next photo destination in central London.
