We provide a range of study support services, including a dedicated Personal Tutor, extensive online resources and supportive staff who can help you gain the skills you need to need to do well in your degree. Our extensive support services is one of the reasons that our students thrive: in 2016, 70% of our students gained a first or upper-second class degree.
As a Roehampton student, you will be assigned a dedicated Personal Tutor. Your Tutor will be a member of academic staff in your department, and will offer you personalised study advice, help you pick your modules and provide advice on future careers.
We make sure that you will have regular access to your Tutor throughout your degree, which means they will get to know you, providing you with a supportive source of advice during your time with us.
Studying in higher education is different from school and college, whether you are coming direct from school or after a long gap. To do well you will need to develop specific skills.
Our Academic Achievement Advisors run workshops and 1:1 sessions to help you manage your own time, undertake research, write dissertations and learn effective note-taking. Many of these skills are transferable, which means they will be useful even after you graduate from Roehampton.
Our brand-new Library has a huge range of resources, with many thousands of books, journals and other learning resources.
To help you get the most out of them, we have a team of Academic Achievement Librarians, who will offer you advice on research skills, how to find the resources related to your subject of study and will even help you learn how to properly reference your essays.
Throughout your studies, you will have access to resources available 24-7 which will help you do well in your degree. These include IT training courses, exam revision tips and report writing advice.
You will also have access to our huge range of career skills services.
