Students do not need to apply for these awards. They are automatically allocated by the University after the enrollment period. Successful students will be contacted by the University in mid-November during their first term.
*Regrettably the University of Roehampton is unable to offer these scholarships to Primary Education students as places for this programme are allocated by the Teaching Agency. This scholarship is part of the flexible student numbers programme for ABB+ students. However, the University of Roehampton is participating in a government initiative to encourage males into careers in teaching, for which the University is in receipt of specific funding and thus can offer the advertised bursaries for male students. Primary Education students are eligible for the NSP.
The Roehampton Scholarships are generous awards designed to recognise high achieving local residents from the Borough of Wandsworth who are committed to their academic success and want to give something back to their community.The University of Roehampton is offering four scholarships to full time undergraduate students starting their studies at the University in September 2014. These awards will cover the whole cost of tuition over the 3 year period of their studies.

For UK/EU students who have successfully completed a programme of study at Roehampton, a 20% tuition fee reduction will be given for those who wish to undertake further studies at a postgraduate level (any level higher than previously studied). This excludes foundation degrees, pre-sessional, pre-masters, PGCE. The discount will be made in the first year of study. It can be combined with some sports and academic scholarships.
The University of Roehampton and the Society of the Sacred Heart have established the Sacred Heart Scholarship to encourage postgraduate studies and research in areas which promote international understanding and which enable candidates to work more effectively in their communities upon completion of their studies. This scholarship is open to UK/EU and international postgraduate students but cannot be combined with other University scholarships.

As part of its collaboration in a £1.94 million AHRC funded project - Cultural and Scientific Perceptions of Human-Chicken Interactions - the University of Roehampton is offering five fully-funded PhD Studentships (two AHRC studentships and three Roehampton Vice-Chancellor's Studentships) in Social Anthropology. The Studentships will be held in the Department of Life Sciences and students will become members of the Centre for Research in Evolutionary and Environmental Anthropology. As a member of the TECHNE AHRC Doctoral Training Partnership, University of Roehampton applicants for PhD study (and some current PhD students) are eligible to apply for Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) studentships (stipend and fee waiver) to start 1 October 2014.

The University of Roehampton offers a number of scholarships up to the value of £1,200 per year for aspiring musicians. Two scholarships are available in each College. Each scholarship is for two years, subject to an annual review. All voices, instruments and genres will be considered.

Eligibility is automatic; you need only to submit your programme application form for scholarship consideration. The scholarship is made through a reduction in tuition fees in each year of study for undergraduate students, and in the first year of study for postgraduate students. 20 of these scholarships are available to international students at all levels of study, including postgraduate research. Applicants should be able to demonstrate academic excellence and a capacity to contribute significantly to the University of Roehampton community. The discount is for one year only and will be made in the first year of study. This scholarship can only be combined with the above International Students' Vice Chancellor’s scholarship.
