Who's who?

Below you'll find information on Digby Stuart’s team of staff and elected student officers. Feel free to contact us with your questions or to arrange a meeting to discuss anything related to life in college – we are more than happy to help you!

If you are unsure who is best to speak to about your enquiry, please email digbystuart.college@roehampton.ac.uk with your name and contact details and a member of the team will get back to you as soon as they can.

During term-time, students can also pop into one of our College Drop-In sessions on Mondays 1pm-3pm in The Base, for a cup of tea and a chat with members of the staff team.

Office – E106, Erasmus House (First Floor)

As Engagement & Activities Officer, Sorrel is responsible for coordinating the logistics and day-to-day running of Digby Stuart, as well as the events, activities, and initiatives put on by the College throughout the year for our community of staff and students including College Formals, Drop-Ins, student leadership opportunities, and the Flat Leader programme.

Ginny Jordan-Arthur

College Chaplain
Office – E108, Erasmus House (First Floor)

Ginny is our College Chaplain and is here to support and celebrate the everyday moments of college life. Her role involves building a welcoming and inclusive community where every student, staff member, and guest are valued. She is here to provide pastoral support and listening, to support students in community-based initiatives, and to offer prayer and faith reflections from the Catholic tradition, as celebrated by our college founders.

Ginny is also a member of the wider multi-faith Chaplaincy department for the university and works alongside colleagues from different faith communities to support all students and staff. In addition, she is part of the Catholic Chaplains in Higher Education for the Southwark Archdiocese and is the College’s link to the Sacred Heart Schools Network.

Dr. Julia Tomas (she/her)

Office – E109, Erasmus House (First Floor)

As Chaplaincy Community Worker, Julia is responsible for fostering community within the College, working particularly closely with students living in our halls of residence. She manages the Digby Stuart Hospitality Network, an initiative which allows students to meet together, share food, and take an active part within the life of the College.

Julia is also involved in the work of the Chaplaincy within the College and the wider University, and co-leads the Barat House Intentional Christian Community, supporting students to live together in a manner shaped by the values of the Catholic and Methodist churches.

Rachael Hunt (she/her)

Digby Stuart Student Wellbeing Officer (SWO)

Digby Stuart College has a designated Student Wellbeing Officer to support anyone experiencing difficulties with their wellbeing. Your Wellbeing Officer is your first contact for any doubt or question around wellness resources or issues. They can refer and signpost you to a range of support services both within the University and externally, depending on your needs and specific context.

The Student Wellbeing Officers can provide in-person appointments as well as online (via phone or Microsoft Teams) during the week. You can book a first appointment with them to have an initial conversation and see what next steps can be most helpful. You can contact them by emailing swodigby@roehampton.ac.uk.
