Professor Jean-Noël Ezingeard serves as the Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Roehampton. In this role, he is both the academic leader and Chief Executive, responsible for the implementation of the University's Strategic Plan and reporting to the University’s Council.
He assumed the position of Vice-Chancellor on 1 May 2019. Prior to this, Professor Ezingeard held academic and leadership roles at Manchester Metropolitan University, Kingston University, Henley Business School, and Brunel University London.
He completed his initial studies in Engineering Systems at École Centrale de Lille. Subsequently, he pursued postgraduate studies at Brunel University London where he earned an MSc in Advanced Manufacturing Systems and his PhD in Information Systems. His primary research interests lie in systems and processes management, especially focusing on the social dimensions of information systems management.
Professor Ezingeard is a strong advocate for widening participation in higher education, drawing from his personal experience as the first in his family to attend university.
Beyond his duties as Vice-Chancellor, he is a board member for the National Centre for Universities and Business, the Universities Vocational Awards Council, London Higher and the Church of England Education office (National Society). He also serves as the Chair of the Education and Early Years route panel for the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education. He has held advisory roles and board positions with various institutions, including Warrington and Halton NHS Trust, Henley Management College, Richmond upon Thames College, and the Association of Business Schools.
