Student studying at a desk

As a Roehampton student you will be supported from your first day with us to help you achieve. You will have your own dedicated Academic Guidance Tutor, who will provide you with personal support throughout your studies, face-to-face and remotely.

We also offer 24/7 online resources to help you learn whether you are on campus, at home or elsewhere. Our extensive support services are one of the reasons that our students thrive, and have among the best graduate salaries of any modern university in London.

Online study resources

Throughout your studies, you will have access to resources available 24 hours a day to help you achieve. These include our 24/7 academic guidance system, online access to your teaching resources, IT training courses, exam revision tips and assignment writing advice.

You will also have access to our huge range of career skills services.

Academic Guidance Tutors

As a Roehampton student, you will be assigned a dedicated Academic Guidance Tutor. Your Tutor will be a member of academic staff in your department and will offer you personalised study advice, help you pick your modules and provide advice on future careers.

We make sure that you will have regular access to your Tutor throughout your degree, which means they will get to know you and provide you with a supportive source of advice during your time with us.

Study skills support

Studying in higher education is different from school and college, whether you are coming direct from school or after a long gap. To do well you will need to develop specific skills.

Our team of Academic Achievement Advisers are committed to helping students realise their academic potential and become independent learners. Whatever stage you are at in your studies – foundation, undergraduate or postgraduate – we are here to help. We offer workshops on different academic skills throughout the year, as well as one-to-one appointments and online resources via our Learning Skills Hub.

Library and research support

Our world-class Library, one of the best university libraries in London, has a huge range of resources. These include many thousands of books, journals and other learning resources, as well as excellent IT facilities.

To help you get the most out of these resources, we have a Learning and Teaching Librarian, who will offer you advice on research skills, how to find the resources related to your subject of study and even help you learn how to properly reference your essays.
