Why study Nursing?

Nursing is a hugely fulfilling career, and a nursing degree offers you great employability and career prospects. Nurses work in a wide range of diverse settings, from communities to the classroom, and use their specialised skills to offer the very best care to their patients. Train with us in London at Roehampton: ranked top 10 in the UK for Nursing (Guardian University Guide 2024).

What to expect as a Roehampton nursing student

You’ll spend half your time on placements in the community and in hospitals gaining direct nursing experience. We have partnerships with numerous healthcare providers throughout south London and beyond.

The other half of your time will be spent learning nursing theory and developing your skills, with classes delivered by experienced practitioners. You’ll also learn in our state-of-the-art Clinical Simulation Centre, which simulates community and primary care settings providing you with an immersive teaching environment.

You'll be welcomed into a close-knit and supportive community, where you'll also benefit from studying at London's greenest university, with resources including an on-campus gym and our award-winning library.

Funding

The government provides additional funding support to healthcare students. All new and existing students will receive a non-repayable payment of £5,000 to eligible students each academic year.
