Our food laboratory is home to sensory analysis tasting booths and a clinical suite for dietary intervention studies.
These include high specification liquid chromatography systems, flow cytometry, ELISA and fluorescent plate readers and in vitro imaging systems for immuno-histochemistry, immunofluorescence microscopy and quantitative microscopy.
We have specifically designated laboratories for work with radioactive isotopes and in vitro gut fermentation model systems to study interaction between food and the gut microbiota.
