A Mail on Sunday article from 3 April featured an interview with Roehampton's reader in criminology Dr Amanda Holt. The article focused on a harrowing case study of long standing family violence in which the perpetrator was a man in his twenties and the victim his mother. Dr Holt, who has been researching family violence for 20 years, is quoted saying that child-to-parent abuse (CPA) has always been under the radar - largely ignored by researchers and the criminal justice system. A recent study however found that in England and Wales a parent is killed by their child every 19 days. Read the full story here.
