Roehampton attends Employ Wandsworth

On Friday 17 May, The University of Roehampton attended Employ Wandsworth, an event organised by the Wandsworth Council Work Match team.

The event, held at Wandsworth Civic Centre, is the largest employment, skills and recruitment event in the local area and is a great opportunity for local residents to meet employers and discuss job and career opportunities at various levels.

As a key stakeholder partner with Wandsworth Council, and the borough’s largest employer, the University of Roehampton was invited alongside 60 other exhibitors.

The event was an excellent opportunity for Roehampton’s HR, Business Development, Careers and Recruitment teams to chat with local residents about the wide range of opportunities on offer to them at Roehampton, including our training opportunities, which range from apprenticeships, technical qualifications to degree programmes. The teams were keen to highlight that our training provision aligns with the borough and region’s local skills improvement plans.

Charlotte Gorse, Director of Continuing Education at the University of Roehampton said, “It was great to have our team meet so many local residents and discuss Roehampton’s expanding technical and vocational training offer. We hope we inspired them to consider developing new skills and taking the next step in their career!”

Roehampton’s apprenticeships combine on-the-job training with a higher-level recognised accreditation. If you are interested in offering to upskill your workforce or skill new talent, visit our website or email apprenticeships@roehampton.ac.uk to arrange an initial meeting.
